VinFast VF MPV 7 Offers Surprising Comfort on Jakarta's Roads

A journalist recently experienced the VinFast VF MPV 7 on Jakarta's roads, challenging initial expectations of a stiff suspension. The test drive, organized by VinFast, aimed to showcase the vehicle's performance and comfort, particularly on challenging urban terrain.

Despite anticipating a rough ride, similar to experiences with other vehicles, the journalist found the VF MPV 7 adept at handling Jakarta's notoriously uneven streets. The car successfully absorbed impacts from rumble strips, bumpy sections, and uneven manhole covers, providing a surprisingly smooth journey. "The best feeling of this suspension is when the car is fully loaded with seven passengers," noted Ahmad Fahrudin, Sales Training Manager for VinFast Indonesia, highlighting the suspension's effectiveness under load.

The VF MPV 7 is equipped with a multi-link rear suspension system, a feature usually reserved for vehicles in higher market segments. This advanced suspension setup contributes significantly to the ride comfort for all occupants, including those in the third row. The seats themselves are described as comfortable, with ample cushioning, and the third-row access is facilitated by a "one touch tumble" feature.

While the journalist missed the initial part of the route, the portion driven was sufficient to significantly alter their perception of the vehicle. The driving position is ergonomic, offering excellent forward visibility, complemented by good side and rear visibility. Although some fellow journalists reported a slight body roll at high speeds on the toll road, the overall consensus was positive, with many finding the car enjoyable to drive.
