Visa Awards MBANK for Launching Apple Pay in Kyrgyzstan

MBANK has earned a prestigious award from global payment leader Visa for its successful implementation of Apple Pay in Kyrgyzstan. The recognition highlights the bank's significant contributions to advancing digital technologies within the country and establishing a modern financial infrastructure.

The introduction of Apple Pay through the MBANK application has provided thousands of Kyrgyz citizens with access to a contemporary, swift, and secure payment solution. Sanjar Suleymanov, Visa's Vice President and Regional Manager for Central Asia, presented the award to Almazbek Mamyrbaev, MBANK's Director of Digital Development for the Mass Segment.

The Apple Pay service has been available for MBANK, MBusiness, and MIslamic cardholders since July 28. Users can now make purchases using their iPhone or Apple Watch by simply holding the device near a payment terminal. Each transaction is secured through advanced measures, ensuring card data is not stored on the device or shared with merchants, and payments are authenticated via Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode.
