Vivian Hsu performs at Japan T. League opening, shares connection to table tennis star

Taiwanese star Vivian Hsu electrified the crowd at the Japan Professional T. League's inaugural overseas opening match, held in Taiwan. The singer, who once enjoyed significant popularity in Japan with her group "Black Biscuits," performed some of their well-known hits, including "STAMINA."

Hsu, who had a successful career in Japan during the late 1990s, sang in both Mandarin and Japanese, further engaging the audience. Her performance was a highlight before the professional table tennis players took to the court, with Hsu joining the crowd in cheering for the upcoming matches.

Beyond her musical performance, Hsu revealed a personal connection to Taiwan's top table tennis player, Cheng I-Ching. She shared that Cheng had coached her son two years prior, sparking his interest in the sport. Hsu's 11-year-old son now trains twice a week, and while she used to play with him, she admits he has become too fast for her to keep up.
