Vladimir Salo Appointed Head Coach of Kyrgyzstan U-15 Football Team

Kyrgyzstan's U-15 youth football team has a new head coach, Vladimir Salo, who brings a wealth of experience to the role. The Kyrgyz Football Union announced the appointment, signaling the team's preparation for upcoming international competitions.

Under Salo's guidance, the U-15 squad will gear up for the FIFA U-15 World Cup and the FIFA Festival 2026, both scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan from October 22 to 31. This marks a significant step in the development of young talent within the country's football program.

Salo's coaching credentials include extensive work with professional clubs and various youth national teams in Kyrgyzstan. He holds AFC coaching licenses of categories 'A', 'B', and 'C', which align with international standards for youth national team coaching. His background also includes a notable playing career, having represented the Kyrgyzstan national team from 1994 to 2004 and being recognized as one of the leading players of his generation.

Following his playing career, Salo transitioned to coaching, contributing significantly to Kyrgyz football development. His most recent role was as head coach of the football club 'Dordoi'. His appointment is expected to bolster the youth team's performance and development.
