Vodafone launches holiday eSIM: an EASY solution for travelers in over 90 countries with 100% digital activation

Vodafone Romania is simplifying international travel with the launch of its "EASY eSIM" roaming solution, designed to provide seamless mobile data connectivity in more than 90 countries. This new offering allows travelers to stay connected abroad without the hassle of purchasing local SIM cards upon arrival.

The activation process is entirely digital, managed through the Vodafone EASY app, making it accessible and quick for anyone, whether they are already a Vodafone customer or not. "Through Vodafone EASY eSIM roaming, we are launching a digital solution designed to make travel easier for Romanians," said Ana Popa, Consumer Business Unit Director at Vodafone Romania. "Activation is 100% digital, directly from the app, with clear and transparent offers. Customers benefit from very advantageous prices and easy cost control in roaming."

The EASY eSIM roaming service caters to individuals traveling both within and outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who need immediate mobile internet access. It is particularly suited for users comfortable with digital solutions and eSIM technology, offering quick activation, cost control, and flexibility for vacations, city breaks, or business trips. Existing Vodafone EASY customers can add the roaming option directly through the app without altering their primary plan.

Vodafone offers a range of packages, including country-specific options for single-destination trips and regional bundles for multi-country travel. Prices start at 5 euros for destinations like the United Kingdom and 9 euros for countries outside the EEA, such as Turkey, Thailand, the USA, Australia, and Egypt. Regional packages, covering areas like Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, North America, South America, or Oceania, are available from 7 euros. Users can choose from various data allowances and validity periods, ensuring full control over consumption and avoiding unexpected charges.
