Volkswagen Nivus: The Crossover That Continues to Dominate Sales

The Volkswagen Nivus has cemented its status as a sales phenomenon, consistently ranking among the brand's best-selling models and frequently appearing in the top 15-20 overall vehicle sales since its debut in October 2020.

This B-segment crossover, produced in Brazil, recently received a significant restyling. The update included added equipment and a revised model range, now featuring five distinct versions: 170TSI MT, Trendline 200TSI AT, Comfortline 200TSI AT, Highline 200TSI AT, and the range-topping Outfit 200TSI AT, which was evaluated.

A primary driver of the Nivus's success is its unique design. It artfully merges the practicality of an SUV with the sleek profile of a hatchback, characterized by a coupé-like angle of the C-pillar and a sloping roofline. This sporty aesthetic, enhanced by a rear spoiler, harmonizes with the brand's signature understated style.

The front of the Nivus now features a more faceted design, with pronounced hood creases and a grille bisected by an LED lighting strip. The bumper and lights have been redesigned, with both headlights and daytime running lights now in LED. At the rear, new taillights are connected by an LED bar that spans the tailgate, linking the lights and the brand emblem. The rear bumper also received a refresh, incorporating vertical retroreflectors and increased body-colored surfaces.

Inside, the Nivus boasts updated upholstery and door panel coverings, along with a new multimedia system. Notably, it's the first Volkswagen model to feature the Mi VW Connect system. This allows users to connect their vehicle to their smartphone via the Mi VW Argentina app, offering features like remote locking/unlocking, horn and hazard light activation, vehicle status checks, trip data analysis, and online service scheduling. The interior offers good space for front passengers, comfortable driving position, and ample visibility, though rear seating is best suited for two smaller adults.
