Vorcaro ordered dossier against Itaú CEO: 'He's causing me a lot of trouble'

Brazilian federal police have uncovered evidence that a criminal organization led by banker Daniel Vorcaro allegedly compiled a dossier containing personal and financial information on Itaú CEO Milton Maluhy and his wife, Camila Moretti Maluhy. The alleged objective was to discredit the couple, with the intention of passing the data to media outlets within Vorcaro's sphere of influence. The findings are part of a Supreme Court decision authorizing searches related to businessman Thiago Miranda, accused of operating a reputation-damaging network for Vorcaro. In intercepted communications, Vorcaro is quoted as asking Miranda for a "survey" on Maluhy, stating the CEO was "causing a lot of trouble." Miranda reportedly responded that he had "everything ready" and wanted to release the information through a different media outlet. Police identified civil identification data and CPF numbers belonging to the couple within a document bearing the visual identity of Miranda's company, Agência MiThi. The document was reportedly titled "Maluhy Family Report on Tax Execution - Case Milton Maluhy Filho and Camila Moretti Maluhy" and marked as "confidential." The investigation also cites attempts by Miranda and Vorcaro to coerce journalists, including an instance involving reporter Malu Gaspar of O Globo, who was covering the Banco Master scandal. After personal contact failed to dissuade her, the group allegedly began gathering information on her personal life to discredit her work.
