Vouchers for Kindergartens and Creative Activity Centers 2026-2027: Eligibility and Application Deadlines

Greece is currently processing applications for state subsidies, known as vouchers, for the 2026-2027 period, aimed at supporting access to nurseries, childcare centers, and specialized centers for children with disabilities.

The Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family has allocated 393 million euros for this initiative, seeking to assist families and ensure children's needs are met in various early childhood education settings. The ministry has outlined the application process, eligibility criteria, and beneficiary details.

This year, income thresholds have been increased, allowing middle-income families to qualify. Specifically, families with up to two children can have a household income of up to 35,000 euros, while families with three children have an increased limit of 38,000 euros. The ministry anticipates a larger number of beneficiaries than the over 170,000 children supported last year.

A significant change for this year is the complete removal of income criteria for large families, enabling them to apply regardless of their earnings. The online application platform, aitisi26.eetaa.gr, will remain open until August 5. The process has been streamlined, with most necessary data automatically extracted using Taxisnet credentials.
