Vučić: Serbia to hold elections within three months, projects highest GDP growth in Europe

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that early elections will be held in the country within three months, stating that these elections will decide Serbia's future. He also projected that Serbia's GDP growth will reach 4.5% next year, making it the highest in Europe. Vučić cited official Eurostat data for Serbia's strong economic performance in the first half of the year, attributing it to the hard work of the Serbian people. He assured pensioners that their pensions will fully track salary increases this year, a goal previously unmet.

During a political rally in Belegiš, Vučić also discussed Serbia's international relations, noting that the country is the only one not to impose sanctions on Russia while maintaining good relations with both Kyiv and Moscow. He emphasized Serbia's commitment to military neutrality and strengthening its armed forces, announcing plans to establish a drone factory in cooperation with Israel. "Who is better than them? And these will be our drones," Vučić stated regarding the drone production.

You cannot increase salaries and pensions based on the wishes of some politician... Thanks to the hard work of our people, we have achieved (this growth).

Vučić expressed frustration with some associates for not fully grasping the work required for the Expo 2027 project and for neglecting tasks such as replacing water pipes in Belegiš. He highlighted the importance of these projects for Serbia's development and international standing.
