WACT-APM Terminals appoints first Nigerian MD

WACT-APM Terminals Nigeria has appointed Courage Obadagbonyi as its new Managing Director, effective July 1. This marks a significant milestone as he becomes the first Nigerian to hold the top position at the company, succeeding Jeethu Jose.

The appointment underscores the organization's commitment to developing strong leadership from within its global talent pool. Obadagbonyi, a seasoned executive with over 20 years of international experience, has held key leadership roles in finance, operations, and general management at prominent global organizations, including APM Terminals, General Electric, and Lafarge.

Prior to this role, Obadagbonyi served as the Chief Financial Officer for the APM Terminals Nigeria cluster, overseeing financial strategy for Nigeria and San Pedro, Côte d’Ivoire. He also acted as the Managing Director of APM Terminals Apapa from 2025 to March 2026, further enhancing his operational leadership expertise. His background spans diverse sectors such as oil and gas, power generation, logistics, and healthcare, bringing deep expertise in financial management and business performance.
