WACT-APM Terminals Nigeria Announces First Nigerian Managing Director

WACT-APM Terminals Nigeria has appointed Courage Obadagbonyi as its new Managing Director, a move that takes effect on July 1. Obadagbonyi succeeds Jeethu Jose and brings over two decades of extensive international experience in leadership roles across finance, operations, and general management at prominent global organizations, including APM Terminals, General Electric, and Lafarge.

His prior roles within the APM Terminals network include serving as Chief Financial Officer for the Nigeria cluster, overseeing financial strategy for operations in Nigeria and San Pedro, Cote d'Ivoire. He also gained valuable operational leadership experience by serving as the acting Managing Director of APM Terminals Apapa from 2025 to March 2026.

Obadagbonyi expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, "I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place at WACT. The terminal plays a critical role in connecting businesses in Eastern Nigeria to global markets, and we will continue to focus on safe, reliable and efficient operations."
