Warehouse in Ciudad del Este robbed of US$20,000 and Reais

A brazen daylight robbery occurred in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, leaving a warehouse owner and his employees shaken. Three masked individuals stormed the premises on Tuesday morning, overpowering the security guard and workers to make off with a significant sum of cash. The incident took place around 6:50 AM in the Juan E. O’Leary neighborhood, also known as Catedral.

The owner, identified as Bilal Nemr, a Lebanese national, reported that the assailants arrived in a silver Toyota Premio without license plates. They reportedly entered the warehouse as a company vehicle was arriving, catching staff off guard. Once inside, they disarmed the security guard, Roque Guandú, seizing his .38 caliber revolver.

The robbers then announced their intentions to Nemr and the other employees, seizing a cash box containing approximately US$20,000 and 8,000 Brazilian Reais. After securing the money, the perpetrators fled the scene in their vehicle. High Alto Paraná Department investigators were dispatched to the scene to analyze security camera footage from the warehouse and surrounding areas in an effort to identify the suspects and trace their escape route.
