During a luncheon on the Rose Garden patio, which was held for his investment accounts for children born during his second term, Trump also referenced the construction of a ballroom. He shared his vision for the renovations, emphasizing the care being taken with the historic building.

The president also commented on potential Supreme Court nominees, calling Sen. Ted Cruz a "friend" and the only candidate who could secure unanimous Senate approval. Trump recalled their past rivalry for the GOP nomination in 2016, noting how their relationship improved afterward.
