Water Main Bursts in Seosan, Closing Road and Possibly Cutting Water Supply

A water main burst outside a Paris Baguette store in Yecheon-dong, Seosan, at 12:22 p.m. on the 5th, leaving the road flooded and forcing authorities to restrict traffic.

As of 1 p.m., vehicles passing through the area had to take a detour because water had pooled across the road. Seosan officials notified residents through an emergency safety text message and began repair work.

No injuries have been reported. Officials have not determined when the repairs will be completed, while nearby apartment buildings could also face water outages.

Once the repair work ends, the city plans to establish the exact cause of the break and assess the amount of damage.
