Weapons seized, four occupants of undocumented vehicle arrested in Pedro Juan Caballero

Authorities in Amambay, Paraguay, have apprehended four men traveling in an undocumented vehicle, confiscating two pistols, ammunition, and the vehicle itself. The operation was conducted by agents from the National Police's Organized Crime Department.

The detained individuals were identified as Gustavo Benítez Delgado, Cristhian Ayala Ojeda, Carlitos Ayala Ojeda, and Aníbal Sanabria Quevedo. According to police reports, Sanabria Quevedo has a previous criminal record, including a conviction for kidnapping dating back to 2008.

During the procedure, officers seized two 9mm pistols, 18 live cartridges, a portable radio, and four mobile phones from the suspects. The vehicle they were using, a Toyota Fortuner, lacked the necessary documentation for its possession or operation.

The incident unfolded on Route PY05 in the urban area of Pedro Juan Caballero. Police reported that the driver of the vehicle attempted to evade officers when signaled to stop, initiating a pursuit. The suspects were eventually intercepted and detained as they could not provide documentation for the vehicle or the weapons.
