Weather forecast: Rain likely in Paraguay starting Sunday

Paraguay's weather forecast indicates a rising probability of rainfall beginning Sunday, with precipitation expected primarily in the central and southern areas of both the Oriental and Chaco regions.

The Dirección de Meteorología e Hidrología (DMH) reported that Sunday morning will be warm nationwide. The afternoon is predicted to be warm to hot, with maximum temperatures ranging from 29 to 34 degrees Celsius across both the Oriental and Occidental (Chaco) regions. Skies are expected to be mostly cloudy with moderate northerly winds that will later become variable.

Scattered showers are forecast for Sunday, particularly over departments in the central and southern parts of the country. In the south, these rains might be accompanied by electrical activity. A weather alert has been issued, warning of moderate to strong wind gusts affecting Asunción, Concepción, San Pedro, Cordillera, Guairá, Caaguazú, Caazapá, Itapúa, Misiones, Paraguarí, Alto Paraná, Central, Ñeembucú, Amambay, Canindeyú, Presidente Hayes, Alto Paraguay, and Boquerón.
