Weather to change drastically: rain and cooling coming to Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is bracing for a dramatic weather change as atmospheric fronts are set to bring an end to the recent period of intense heat. Forecasters predict a noticeable drop in temperatures across the country, accompanied by widespread rain and thunderstorms. While dry weather is expected to persist only in the western parts of the country and the Kyzylorda Region, other areas should prepare for significant precipitation. Specific regions like Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, and Akmola are forecast to receive heavy rain between August 15 and 16. Pavlodar Region is also anticipating heavy precipitation on August 16. Additionally, fog may form during nighttime and early morning hours in various parts of the west, northwest, north, and central areas. The cooling trend will be most pronounced in the northern regions, where nighttime temperatures are expected to plummet from +15…+20°C to +7…+12°C, and daytime temperatures will fall from +20…+30°C to +15…+20°C. Central and eastern Kazakhstan will also see a reprieve from the heat, with daytime temperatures decreasing from current highs of +34…+39°C (locally up to +40…+41°C) to a more moderate +23…+33°C. Southern regions will experience a similar easing, with daytime temperatures dropping from +38…+44°C to +30…+37°C, and the southeast seeing a decrease from +34…+39°C (or +40…+43°C in the northern part of the region) to +30…+36°C.
