Weekend Weather: Is Summer Back? Heat Could Return Early Next Week

People heading out early in Baden-Württemberg on Saturday should keep an umbrella close, but the rest of the weekend looks increasingly suited to sunglasses, according to the German Weather Service.

Rain will pass through in the morning, with isolated thunderstorms possible. Clouds should then clear quickly, bringing blue skies and sunshine. Showers could linger into the afternoon in the far south, including around the Upper Rhine, the Allgäu and Lake Constance.

Temperatures will range from about 20 degrees in the uplands to 26 degrees in the Upper Rhine Valley. The Feldberg will remain much cooler at 14 degrees. Moderate to fresh west to northwest winds should ease during the day.

The night into Sunday is expected to be mostly clear, apart from some cloud between Lake Constance and the Iller. Temperatures will fall to between 6 and 11 degrees. Sunday should then bring frequent sunshine and mostly cloudless skies, with temperatures rising to 23 to 29 degrees and only light easterly winds.

Monday will remain mostly friendly and dry despite passing clouds, although isolated showers are possible. Temperatures could climb to 29 to 33 degrees. The weather is expected to turn overnight into Tuesday, with increasing cloud, widespread rain showers and temperatures falling to between 14 and 17 degrees.
