Wei Chuan Dragons' Cilin Jilao hits two home runs in return from injury

Wei Chuan Dragons captain Cilin Jilao announced his return from injury with a powerful performance, hitting two home runs in a single game against the Rakuten Monkeys. Jilao launched a three-run blast in the first inning off Monkeys' foreign pitcher Ethan Paul, showcasing his potent hitting ability.

His second home run came in the ninth inning, a solo shot against an unexpected pitcher – outfielder Yu De-Long, who was brought in to pitch. Jilao admitted he was surprised by the distance of his second homer, saying, "I didn't expect to hit it that far..." He added that his coach, Yeh Chun-Chang, provided valuable advice, helping him adjust his approach at the plate.

Dragons' manager Yeh Chun-Chang noted that the team is managing Jilao's playing time carefully, alternating games to prevent fatigue. Seeing Jilao hit two home runs, especially a long opposite-field shot, reassured the manager of his player's good condition. The manager also commented on the unusual decision to have an outfielder pitch, acknowledging the Monkeys' pitching staff was stretched thin due to a recent series of games and extra-inning matches.
