Well-known lawyer murdered in apparent targeted killing at Rishon Lezion office

A well-known lawyer was found murdered in his office in Rishon Lezion on Tuesday, in what authorities are treating as an apparent targeted attack. Emergency services responded to the scene near the Golden Mall and discovered the victim unconscious with a penetrating injury. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.

Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical technicians Naftali Halberstadt and Meir Binenfeld described the scene: "We received a report of a man who was wounded in a violent incident. We arrived at the scene and joined the police forces. We saw a man around 50 years old lying unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with a penetrating injury to his body. We performed medical examinations, and unfortunately, we had to pronounce him dead at the scene.”

Police officers from the Rishon Lezion station have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and have initiated extensive searches for the suspect. While the victim's identity has not yet been released, the motive is believed to be criminal. The incident is being treated as a suspected assassination, though the investigation is ongoing.
