West Java Commission Pledges Support for Journalists Association

Commission I of the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD Jabar) has expressed its readiness to support the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) West Java in its mission to strengthen the press for the benefit of the community and the nation. Sidkon Djampi, a member of Commission I representing the National Awakening Party (PKB) faction, extended congratulations to Tantan Sulthon on his election as the new Chairman of PWI West Java for the 2026-2031 term.

He also underscored the significance of national values and a commitment to public interest in journalistic work, asserting that press freedom must be balanced with social responsibility.
