West Java DPRD Secretariat Nears Completion of Preparations for 81st Anniversary Plenary Session

The West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD Jabar) Secretariat is nearing full readiness for the 81st anniversary plenary session of West Java Province. With preparations at 99%, the event is slated to take place Wednesday evening at Pasanggrahan Pancarasa, Gedung Sate, in Bandung.

Iman Tohidin, the acting secretary of DPRD Jabar, confirmed that final technical details are being confirmed before the 7:00 PM WIB start. "Until today, the progress of preparation for the 81st anniversary plenary session of West Java Province is around 99 percent. Only a few technical matters are still being confirmed before the implementation tonight," Iman stated on Wednesday.

The secretariat has been coordinating with various parties to ensure all aspects of the commemoration proceed as planned. This includes not only the main event but also logistical needs. The agenda features a recitation of the Quran, the national anthem "Indonesia Raya," an opening by the Speaker of the DPRD Jabar, a historical presentation by a cultural expert, and remarks from West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi. The session will conclude with a prayer and closing remarks.

Cultural elements are central to the 81st anniversary celebration, with performances including Ngarak Barong Bekasi, Tari Jaipongan, Tari Topeng Cirebon, and Tari Cening Paras Ayu Ni Hyang. This emphasis on arts and culture aligns with the anniversary's visual identity, representing West Java's identity, cultural diversity, natural wealth, and the community's drive for progress. The theme for this year's anniversary is "Jabar Tandang." The secretariat aims for the commemoration to be more than just a ceremony, serving as a moment to strengthen public affection for culture and reaffirm West Java's identity.
