West Java Police members identified in Jakarta red-light running incident

Police have confirmed that the driver and two passengers of a Toyota Alphard involved in running a red light at a pedestrian crossing in Central Jakarta are members of the West Java Regional Police. The incident occurred in front of the Hotel Pullman, where the vehicle ignored a red light at a pelican crossing, leading to a confrontation with a security guard. The police stated that the three individuals will be processed by the West Java Regional Police's Propam Division for alleged arrogant behavior. The confrontation began when the security guard, also crossing, attempted to stop the Alphard. The driver reportedly did not accept the warning, escalating into a verbal argument. Both parties later went to a police post for mediation and agreed to a peaceful resolution. Further investigation is underway regarding the Alphard's license plate, which appears to be registered to a different vehicle, a silver metallic Daihatsu. The traffic directorate is also summoning the Alphard's driver and the security guard for clarification.
