What Saudis demand from AI: Information search leads, Tabuk leads regions

Artificial intelligence has become an indispensable daily tool for Saudi users, assisting them from simple information searches to complex professional tasks. The adoption of AI spans various domains, including knowledge acquisition, education, and content creation.

According to the "Internet Saudi Arabia 2025" report by the Communications, Space & Technology Commission, information retrieval is the most common use of AI tools, with 80.8% of users employing them for this purpose. Idea generation follows at 40.1%, with study and education at 37.7%. Other significant uses include content creation (images, video, presentations) at 25.7%, language translation at 25.1%, work-related tasks at 17.3%, text writing at 14.3%, and programming at 13.5%.

The overall AI tool usage rate in the Kingdom stands at 45.2%. Women represent a larger share of users at 52.8%, compared to men at 39.4%. The age group between 20 and 29 years old shows the highest adoption rate at 55.7%, followed closely by those aged 10 to 19 (53.4%) and 30 to 39 (46.2%). The Tabuk region has emerged as the leader in adopting AI tools, indicating a growing regional focus on technological integration.
