When and where to watch Türkiye vs. Serbia in the European Championship semifinal

Türkiye’s women’s volleyball team will face Serbia in Istanbul for a place in the final of the 2026 CEV European Championship. The semifinal at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall starts at 4 p.m. and will be broadcast live on TRT 1.

The team known as the “Sultans of the Net” won four of its five group matches in Istanbul and lost one. It then defeated Azerbaijan 3-0 in the round of 16 and Germany 3-1 in the quarterfinals.

The defending European champion has reached the last four after winning six of seven matches. This is Türkiye’s sixth consecutive European Championship semifinal and its eighth overall, following appearances in 2003, 2011, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023.

Türkiye has won one European title, two silver medals and three bronze medals. Playing at home, the team is aiming to complete its run in front of its supporters. Istanbul will also host the final on September 6.

Serbia enters the semifinal with a perfect seven wins from seven matches. The three-time European champion finished first in Group B, beat Croatia 3-1 in the round of 16 and defeated Greece 3-0 in the quarterfinals. Serbia has conceded only two sets and has appeared in the last four at each of the past four European Championships.
