When will 2026-2027 middle school registrations begin? How are MEB middle school registrations done?

The Turkish Ministry of National Education (MEB) has outlined the process for middle school registrations for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. The system will operate automatically through the e-Okul platform, utilizing the Address-Based Population Registration System (ADNKS) to place students in schools based on their official residence.

Parents will be able to confirm their child's assigned school through the e-Okul Parent Information System (VBS), as well as through provincial and district directorates of national education and school administrations. Following the initial registration, applications for transfers will be accepted for students who meet the criteria set by the Ministry.

The academic calendar for 2026-2027 indicates that teachers will commence their professional development activities on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Students are set to begin their classes on Monday, September 14, 2026. The first term is scheduled to conclude on Friday, January 22, 2027. Mid-term breaks are planned for November 16-20, 2026, with the semester break occurring from January 25 to February 5, 2027. The second term will start on Monday, February 8, 2027, and will include a second mid-term break from March 8-12, 2027. The academic year will officially end on Friday, June 25, 2027.
