When Will Pension Difference Payments Be Made? SGK, Bağkur, Emekli Sandığı Payment Dates Announced

Millions of Turkish retirees are anxiously awaiting the disbursement of their pension difference payments, amounting to 3,552 Turkish Lira. This adjustment follows a recent legislative approval that increases the lowest pension to 23,552 TL.

The increase, which takes effect from July, was incorporated into a bill approved by the Grand National Assembly. This bill mandates a 13.52% rise in monthly payments for public officials and retired civil servants. For retirees receiving the lowest pension amount, the difference payment represents a significant boost.

However, the actual disbursement of these funds is contingent upon the bill's publication in the Official Gazette. Once officially enacted, the Social Security Institution (SGK) will announce a definitive payment schedule. The difference payments are anticipated to be credited to recipients' accounts in the first week of August.

Retirees who receive the minimum pension, as well as surviving dependents entitled to increases, have not yet received the 3,552 TL difference. This is because the base pension adjustment has not yet been officially published. Meanwhile, civil servant salaries are paid on the 15th of each month, with partial salary differences for July having been paid out gradually in the last week of July.
