'White Tower' Director Ahn Pan-seok Hospitalized with Cerebral Hemorrhage, Recovering Well

Director Ahn Pan-seok, acclaimed for his work on dramas such as 'White Tower,' 'Secret Love Affair,' and 'Something in the Rain,' has been hospitalized after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. His production company, Studio Genie, confirmed the news on March 31st, stating that Ahn is currently in recovery.

Despite the director's hospitalization, Studio Genie assured that the broadcast schedule for his upcoming drama, 'The Love Doctor,' remains unaffected. The series, which has completed filming and is in post-production, is slated to air on ENA later this year. 'The Love Doctor' is described as a romance centered around a doctoral student in robotics and a master's student, exploring their journeys and relationship.

Ahn Pan-seok, who began his directing career in 1994 after leaving MBC, has a notable filmography that includes critically acclaimed works. His directorial debut was with MBC's 'A Prelude to Love.' His other well-known dramas include 'A Wife's Worth' (2012), 'Secret Love Affair' (2014), 'Heard It Through the Grapevine' (2015), 'Something in the Rain' (2018), and 'One Spring Night' (2019).

The director was last seen attending a production presentation for JTBC's new drama 'The Art of Negotiation' on March 6th. The drama focuses on the activities of a legendary negotiator and M&A expert from a major corporation.
