'Why did you look sideways?' he asked, then stabbed and fled

A seemingly unprovoked stabbing occurred in Taşpazar Mahallesi, Aksaray, when a man was attacked for allegedly "looking sideways" at another person. The incident took place on Ebulfez Elçibey Caddesi around 8 p.m. Ahmet İskender Evcil was walking with a friend when an individual approached him, questioned his gaze, and then produced a knife. Evcil sustained a stab wound to his right leg and was left bleeding on the sidewalk. Bystanders quickly intervened, applying a makeshift bandage with Evcil's belt to control the bleeding while awaiting emergency services. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. As Evcil was being transported by ambulance, he informed the police that he did not recognize his attacker. He was taken to Aksaray Education and Research Hospital for treatment. Law enforcement has initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspect, who fled the scene immediately after the assault.
