Widow completes memorial rituals for late actor Fu Zichun, shares heartfelt message

Li Jiaqi, the widow of beloved MinTV actor Fu Zichun, announced that the "seven-seven" memorial rituals for her late husband have been completed. Fu Zichun passed away on June 7 at the age of 47 from acute leukemia, with his farewell ceremony concluding on July 4.

In a heartfelt Facebook post on July 25, Li Jiaqi shared details of the Buddhist rituals, which incorporated both Han and Tibetan traditions, including scripture chanting, copying sutras, offerings to monks, and merit transference. To offer her husband the greatest blessings, she personally crafted small clay Buddha "tsa-tsa" figures, dedicating the merit to Fu Zichun. Navigating the immense grief of losing her husband, Li Jiaqi revealed that she is finding solace by reading books gifted by her sister, particularly "Our Lunzi." She described "finding things to do" as a crucial task in her current life. Li Jiaqi also indicated a willingness to share her journey of overcoming sorrow in the future, hoping to document their precious time together in writing.

Addressing her late husband, she conveyed a message of enduring love and support: "You go and be busy, I will be like before and not bother you, doing the things you like.
