Wiens skips party event, citing refusal to 'embrace the corrupt'

Presidential hopeful Arnoldo Wiens declared he would not attend a recent ANR event, stating he refuses to "embrace corrupt individuals" within his party. Wiens, a candidate for the 2028 presidential election, also expressed solidarity with party members he claims are being "unjustly persecuted" for not aligning with the officialist faction.

Wiens explained his absence during a political rally in Misiones, emphasizing his refusal to endorse corruption or support the "unjust persecution" of dissenting party members. He specifically mentioned his own situation, noting he is currently indicted in the "Metrobús" case, where he feels unfairly targeted while others involved were cleared.

Despite his strong stance and the "wounds and scars" he feels from internal party conflicts, Wiens asserted that he continues to work diligently for all Colorado party candidates. He stated he celebrates the victories of elected candidates regardless of their faction and is actively supporting them for the municipal elections on October 4th. Wiens believes his commitment to the party is demonstrated through his actions, not his presence at specific events he deems performative.
