Wildfire Forces Over 20,000 Evacuations in Western Canada

A state of emergency has been declared in British Columbia, Canada, as a rapidly growing wildfire forces more than 20,000 residents to evacuate their homes. The Bald Range wildfire, burning out of control, nearly doubled in size overnight, expanding to approximately 9,510 hectares.

He confirmed that homes have been lost and properties destroyed, with some individuals trapped by the swift-moving conditions and requiring rescue.
