A Wisconsin brewery owner is fighting to keep his business operational after state officials revoked his alcohol license. Kirk Bangstad, owner of Minocqua Brewing Company, claims the decision is politically motivated retaliation for his outspoken anti-Trump stance.

State officials from the Department of Revenue stated the license revocation, effective August 4, stems from alleged violations including transporting beer without proper permits, unauthorized retail sales, and improper storage. The department noted the company can appeal the decision and continue operating during the appeal process.

Bangstad, a known liberal activist, gained national attention for a Facebook post promising "free beer all day" on the day Donald Trump dies. He has continued to use provocative political messaging to promote his brewery. Following an attempted assassination of Trump, the brewery posted, "Well, we almost got our #FreeBeerDay."

Bangstad asserts that the administrative issues cited by the state are a pretext to punish him for his political views. He told reporters that the Department of Revenue has been investigating him for months, seeking any irregularities. "I will not accept this situation without a fight," he declared, vowing to resist the state's action.
