Wistron Software Rebrands as Wistron Technology, Eyes AI and Semiconductors

IT service provider Wistron Software has officially rebranded as "Wistron Technology," signaling a strategic pivot towards AI and semiconductors as its core development directions. The company aims to position itself as a technology service partner that connects technology, talent, and industry needs.

The name change signifies more than just a brand upgrade; it reflects a transformation in the company's service scope and corporate positioning. As emerging technologies rapidly advance, Wistron Technology is moving beyond its traditional IT software services to embrace a technology service model that integrates AI, semiconductors, and global delivery capabilities. The company stated that the term "software company" no longer fully captures its current service offerings and core competencies.

Following a WITS trademark update in 2023 and the official adoption of the English name WITS Corp. in 2025, the company has now upgraded its Chinese name to enhance brand consistency. The new Chinese name, "緯致科技" (Wéi zhì kējì), embodies the brand spirit of "innovation leading to excellence, technology creating a beautiful world," with "致" (zhì) representing driving excellence through innovation and achieving a better world through technology.

The company plans to continue its "ALL in AI" strategy, developing enterprise AI application platforms and connecting with international talent and technology partners to help businesses integrate AI into their core operations for quantifiable business results.

In the semiconductor sector, Wistron Technology will continue to expand its technical services related to IC design, supporting the computing and talent demands of the AI era. This move aims to strengthen its role within the high-tech industry chain and differentiate itself from other information service providers in the global market. Currently, Wistron Technology has locations in Taiwan, China, Japan, the United States, and India, employing over 15,000 people and serving clients in more than 150 cities worldwide.
