Woman Disrupts Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony, Approaches Bupati

A solemn ceremony commemorating Indonesia's 81st Independence Day in Indramayu was disrupted by a surprising incident on Monday. As the Red and White flag was being raised at the Alun-Alun Indramayu, a woman, who appeared to be experiencing mental health issues, suddenly broke through the main area of the ceremony.

The incident occurred precisely when the Flag Raising Troop (Paskibraka) was hoisting the national flag. All ceremony participants were paying their respects to the flag at that moment. Suddenly, the woman, wearing red clothing, pushed her way in from behind and headed directly towards the Bupati of Indramayu, Lucky Hakim, who was standing as the ceremony's Inspector of Ceremonies. It appeared the woman intended to embrace the Bupati.

Fortunately, several officers at the scene reacted swiftly. They immediately secured the woman, who was only a few steps away from the Bupati's position. The officers then escorted her to an ambulance to be taken to the Indramayu Regional General Hospital for medical treatment.

As security personnel attempted to place her in the ambulance, the woman waved to the media personnel who were filming her. "Bye, bye, bye reporters," she said, before being taken away.
