Woman Found Murdered in El Rosario, Sinaloa; August Homicides Reach 21

Naval personnel discovered the body of a young woman, bearing bullet impacts, on a dirt road leading to the Agua Verde township in El Rosario, Sinaloa. This grim discovery marks the 21st female homicide recorded in the state during August, highlighting a disturbing trend of violence.

The victim, dressed in blue jeans, a gray blouse, and black shoes, was found near an area where naval elements also located an improvised camp associated with criminal groups. Close to the body, authorities found a weapon. The camp yielded a significant seizure of 29 automatic weapons, 1,670 rounds of ammunition, and 64 loaded magazines.

This latest killing adds to a series of recent violent incidents in the southern municipalities of Sinaloa. In Escuinapa, another woman was found in a vacant lot with her hands tied, visible bruises, and bullet wounds. In Mazatlán, two women were attacked with firearms inside a residence, and both were found to have no vital signs and showed signs of beatings and bullet impacts.

National Guard elements established a security perimeter around the site where the young woman's body was found. She was wearing a denim skirt and a gray blouse, and no identification was found among her belongings. The discovery has intensified security operations in the region, particularly in the fishing areas of El Rosario.
