Woman Found Murdered in Pilar, Argentina; Suspect Arrested

The body of Milagros Naomi Cabrera, 30, was discovered early Sunday morning in Pilar, Argentina, ending a search that began Friday night when she left her home in Villa Rosa to go to work. Her family lost contact with her after 9 p.m. Friday, prompting a missing person report.

Her brother and ex-partner found her remains around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in an undeveloped area along Route 25, approximately 60 meters from a bus stop. Sources indicated she was found lying on her back, with a severe head injury, still wearing the clothes she had left home in.

An investigation involving Sub-DDI Pilar and local police units led to the identification of a suspect through surveillance footage. The prosecutor's office, led by Andrés Quintana, ordered the urgent search of the home of Luis César Navarro, 36. Navarro reportedly had abrasions on his neck and nape.

Investigators noted that Navarro had previously reported being robbed by two individuals who assaulted him and stole his phone hours before Cabrera's body was found. Notably, the stolen phone was later discovered at the crime scene.
