Woman freed after alleged 3-year captivity and abuse; partner arrested

A 29-year-old woman, identified by the initials YTR, has been freed after three years of alleged captivity and abuse by her partner, Taufik Hidayat. She is currently receiving intensive care at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, West Java, while Hidayat, 30, has been arrested and named a suspect.

Despite her condition, YTR is reportedly trying to maintain her independence. YTR, who was previously the backbone of her family, was reported missing three years ago. Her family eventually found her in a dire condition at the hospital, discovering she had allegedly been held and abused by Hidayat, most recently in a rented room in Cileunyi, Bandung Regency. Hidayat had been on the run before his arrest in Majalaya, Bandung Regency.
