Woman killed as metal structure falls onto car in Mexico mall plaza

A woman has died in Huixquilucan, Mexico, after a metal structure from the Paseo Interlomas shopping plaza collapsed onto her white SUV. The incident occurred when a cement mixer truck, working on road paving, struck a part of the plaza's facade, causing it to fall.

Bystanders and workers in the area managed to escape the falling debris. Video footage circulating on social media captured the moment the structure fell onto the vehicle. Emergency services responded quickly, but paramedics confirmed the driver had already passed away.

The municipal government of Huixquilucan stated it would hold the paving company responsible for the incident. The truck involved belonged to a company contracted by the city for roadwork on La Barranca. The structure's fall onto the vehicle is believed to have resulted from the truck's maneuvers.

Authorities have handed the case over to the State Attorney General's Office to determine legal responsibility and conduct further investigations into the accident.
