Woman Killed in House Fire Described as 'Beautiful Soul'; Two Arrested for Murder

A devastating house fire in Grangetown has claimed the lives of Natalie McDonald, 34, and her seven-year-old niece, Valentina Foster. Cleveland Police confirmed the tragedy occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Ms. McDonald's mother, Lisa Kirton, paid a heartfelt tribute, calling her daughter a "beautiful soul" who was "lovely, bright and bubbly" and deeply cherished by all who knew her.

A 48-year-old woman remains in critical condition in hospital, while three other individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

In a significant development, Cleveland Police have arrested two men, aged 23 and 31, on suspicion of murder in connection with the fire. Both suspects are currently in police custody.
