Woman Loses 260 Euros in Pitbull Ticket Scam in Lithuania

A 35-year-old resident of Tauragė has fallen victim to a scam, losing 260 euros after attempting to purchase tickets for an upcoming Pitbull concert in Kaunas. The concert, originally scheduled for the next day, Friday, was a highly anticipated event, with official tickets having sold out over five months in advance.

The woman sought tickets on Facebook, where she found an advertisement offering them at a seemingly attractive price. Believing she had found a legitimate seller, she agreed on a price and delivery method. On Wednesday, July 29, she transferred the money to the provided bank account, expecting to receive the tickets, but they never arrived.

Authorities have initiated a preliminary investigation into fraud concerning the acquisition of property by deception. Police are considering the possibility that other individuals across the country may have suffered similar losses. Pitbull is scheduled to perform another concert in Lithuania on November 30 at the Kaunas "Žalgiris" Arena.
