Woman reports alleged child abduction attempt in Mexico City; claims distraction tactic used

A woman has shared a harrowing account of an alleged attempted kidnapping of her children in Mexico City's Roma neighborhood. The incident, which occurred on July 5, reportedly involved a sophisticated modus operandi where a child was used to distract parents while a group attacked them.

The woman, who posted her story on TikTok, described how her children were playing in a park when a young girl approached her younger son with a foam toy. While the children were engaged, the woman was suddenly struck on the head, finding herself bleeding. She then saw her partner being assaulted by seven men.

Amidst the chaos, a security guard rushed to protect the children. The woman later realized their phones were stolen. Initially believing it was a robbery, she grew suspicious of the guard's immediate focus on the children. She now believes this was a new tactic to abduct minors, warning others to be vigilant.

The woman has filed a police report and is cooperating with authorities, providing descriptions of the alleged assailants to aid in their identification via surveillance cameras.
