Work Begins on 24-Hour Market at Sabon Zongo

Construction has officially commenced on a new 24-hour model market at Sabon Zongo, marking a significant development for the Ablekuma Central municipality in Ghana. The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Frank Nkansah, handed over the project site to the contractor, PASSPAAKAY Enterprise Limited, signaling the start of what is expected to be a transformative project for the community.

This new market is set to replace the existing Sabon Zongo Market and is a key component of the government's broader strategy to establish 24-hour markets across the country. The comprehensive facility is designed to be more than just a place for commerce; it will feature market stores, a school, a clinic, a police station, an administrative block, an office for the proposed Women's Bank, a livestock bay, a food court, and a car park, addressing various community needs.
