World Cup hero Ferran Torres to swap Barcelona for PSG

Ferran Torres, the scorer of the decisive goal in Spain's World Cup final victory, is reportedly on the verge of leaving Barcelona to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain. According to French outlet L'Équipe, the 26-year-old forward has agreed to personal terms on a five-year contract with PSG.

The transfer now hinges on an agreement between the two clubs regarding the transfer fee. Torres has reportedly informed Barcelona's management of his wish to depart. With his current contract at the Catalan club set to expire in one year, PSG is in a favorable negotiating position.

Sources indicate that discussions between the clubs have progressed significantly. PSG's coach, Luis Enrique, is said to be a strong advocate for the transfer, viewing Torres as a versatile attacker capable of playing multiple forward positions. This move comes as PSG reshapes its attacking lineup after consecutive Champions League titles.

Torres, a former Valencia and Manchester City player, joined Barcelona in January 2022. His value has reportedly increased following his crucial role in Spain's 2026 World Cup triumph.
