World Cup trophy to arrive in Louis Vuitton trunk

The FIFA World Cup trophy will travel to the 2026 final in a bespoke Louis Vuitton trunk, continuing a partnership between the luxury fashion house and the sport's governing body. The handcrafted trunk, unveiled in New York, showcases Louis Vuitton's signature monogram canvas, gold-plated brass corners, and a bold gold "V" for Victory and Vuitton.

This is the fifth consecutive men's World Cup where Louis Vuitton has created the official trophy trunk, following previous designs for the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 tournaments. Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari highlighted the shared commitment to excellence and the power of sport to inspire and unite people.

The FIFA World Cup trophy is one of the most recognizable prizes in global sports and is usually kept at the FIFA Museum in Zurich. Its journey to the final is a symbolic tradition. Luxury brands are increasingly involved in elite sports, with Louis Vuitton also producing trophy trunks for Formula One and Tiffany & Co. crafting the Vince Lombardi Trophy for Super Bowl champions.
