WRC Rally Estonia: Sami Pajari dominates, wins all seven special stages on opening day

Finnish driver Sami Pajari delivered a commanding performance on the opening day of the WRC Rally Estonia, establishing a significant lead. Piloting a Toyota and partnered with co-driver Marko Salminen, Pajari was in a class of his own, setting the fastest time in all seven special stages contested on Friday.

This exceptional performance has placed the Finnish duo at the top of the overall standings, holding a comfortable 14.7-second advantage over their closest competitors. Behind Pajari and Salminen, teammate Oliver Solberg holds second place, with Hyundai's Adrien Fourmaux in third.

Another Finnish driver, Esapekka Lappi, experienced a more challenging day. Lappi struggled to extract performance from his car and finished the day in seventh position, trailing Pajari by 46.5 seconds. The rally is set to continue with nine more special stages on Saturday before concluding with two final stages on Sunday.
