Wrestler Ernazar Akmataliev Gets New Chance to Debut in American RAF League

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan – Ernazar Akmataliev, captain of the Kyrgyz national freestyle wrestling team, has secured a second chance to make his debut in the Real American Freestyle (RAF) league. The U.S.-based professional wrestling league, known for its unscripted elite athlete showcases, has rescheduled his highly anticipated match.

Akmataliev's initial debut was slated for the RAF 09 tournament on May 31 in Dallas, Texas. He was scheduled to face 2023 World Champion Zain Retherford of the USA. However, Akmataliev was unable to obtain a visa, forcing his withdrawal from the event. Mongolian wrestler Tumur-Ochirin Tulga stepped in as his replacement for that tournament.

Despite the previous setback, the bout between Akmataliev and Retherford has been rescheduled. The fight is now confirmed for the upcoming RAF Georgia tournament, set to take place on July 11 in Georgia. This event provides Akmataliev another opportunity to compete in the burgeoning professional wrestling scene.

The RAF league positions itself as a platform for elite athletes, attracting stars from both wrestling and the UFC. Its focus on unscripted performances aims to provide a distinct viewing experience for fans of professional combat sports.
