Wrocław Airport handles over 700,000 passengers in July, a new monthly record

Wrocław Airport has achieved a historic milestone, serving a record 713,000 passengers in July. This figure marks the highest number of travelers handled in a single month in the airport's history, signaling a significant surge in air travel.

The airport reported a 16% increase in passenger numbers compared to July 2025. This remarkable growth is attributed to the high demand for various flight routes, including popular holiday destinations such as Malta, Iceland, Croatia, and Spain. Low-cost carriers were particularly instrumental, transporting nearly 450,000 passengers with an average load factor of 91%.

Never in the history of our airport have we served so many passengers in a single month. Thanks to excellent cooperation with carriers, we were able to offer another record network of connections in a short time, which is enjoying great interest.

Key destinations driving this surge included Malta, Zadar in Croatia, and Barcelona in Spain. The route to Seoul also saw considerable popularity, with a PLL LOT Boeing 787 operating at an average occupancy of nearly 89%. The new route to Keflavík, Iceland, was exceptionally successful, achieving an average load factor of 97.5% in July.

Charter flights also contributed significantly to the record month, with over 190,000 passengers traveling with tour operators. Antalya in Turkey remained a top charter destination, alongside Spanish locations like Palma de Mallorca. The airport forecasts exceeding 6 million passengers for the first time in its operational history this year and anticipates sustained dynamic growth in the coming years.
