Wuling Reveals Details of Aira EV Ahead of Official Launch at GIIAS 2026

Wuling Motors is offering a closer look at its upcoming Aira EV electric city car, with media getting a first impression ahead of its official debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. During a media event at Wuling's factory in Cikarang, West Java, journalists were able to see the interior and take a brief test drive of the new electric vehicle.

Aji Ibrahim, Product Planning for Wuling Motors, stated that the event aimed to provide an initial understanding of the Aira EV's character before its market launch. "Through this Media First Impression session, we invite media colleagues to see the Aira EV's interior directly and experience a short drive with Wuling's latest EV city car. We hope this opportunity can provide an initial picture of the Aira EV's character, designed to support daily mobility easily and practically," Aji said.

The Aira EV boasts compact dimensions: 3,268 mm long, 1,550 mm wide, and 1,575 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,190 mm. Its four-door configuration and a turning radius of 4.5 meters make it suitable for urban environments. The car features a two-tone exterior design with round LED headlights and taillights, a high-mounted LED brake light, and 13-inch leaf clover-patterned wheels. Inside, the "Cookies and Cream" themed cabin includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen with smartphone connectivity, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and steering wheel controls for audio and air conditioning. The driver's seat is adjustable in four directions.

As an electric vehicle, the Aira EV is powered by a 30 kW electric motor paired with a 25.1 kWh battery. This rear-wheel-drive configuration allows the car to travel up to 300 kilometers on a single charge, based on CLTC testing standards. For safety, Wuling has equipped the Aira EV with two airbags, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), rear parking camera and sensors, and an Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto Vehicle Hold (AVH). The Aira EV will join Wuling's existing EV lineup in Indonesia, which includes the Air EV, BinguoEV, and Cloud EV.
