Yakubu presents Letter of Credence to Amir of Qatar

Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Nigeria's Ambassador to the State of Qatar, officially presented his Letter of Credence to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Amir of Qatar. The formal ceremony occurred at the Amiri Diwan and was conducted with full military honors, including the inspection of a Guard of Honour.

During a private audience following the presentation, the Amir of Qatar warmly welcomed Ambassador Yakubu. He emphasized the enduring and cordial relationship between Nigeria and Qatar, recalling past high-level visits and reiterating Qatar's commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

Ambassador Yakubu conveyed condolences to the Amir regarding a recent accident at the Ras Laffan Industrial City. He also reaffirmed Nigeria's dedication to deepening cooperation with Qatar. Key areas for enhanced collaboration include trade, investment, education, security, and humanitarian affairs, reflecting a shared commitment to mutual growth and stability.
